# Day-21 — Practical Exercise: Two-Sided Card for a Tailor Shop
**Time:** 40 minutes (guided) | **Client:** fictional — "StitchLine Tailors"
## Brief
Design a two-sided business card for **StitchLine Tailors** (fictional), a
men's tailoring shop. Owner: Ahmed Khan (fictional), Master Tailor.
Brand feel: classic, precise, trustworthy. Colors: deep navy + silver/gray +
white.
## Steps
1. **Setup (5 min):** New document, mm units, page **95 × 57 mm**
(Layout > Page Size). Draw trim guide **89 × 51 mm** (red, no fill, centered
with P) and safe guide **79 × 41 mm** (blue, no fill, centered). Move guides
to a locked layer via Window > Dockers > Object Manager.
2. **Front (12 min):** Full-bleed navy rectangle (F11 → CMYK C:90 M:70 Y:30
K:20). Centered: a simple needle-and-thread mark (Bezier tool, silver
C:0 M:0 Y:0 K:30) or the letter "S" in an elegant serif, white, 20 pt.
Under it: "StitchLine Tailors" 12 pt white serif, tagline "Cut with
precision." 7 pt silver italic.
3. **Back (12 min):** Insert page 2 (Layout > Insert Page). White background to
bleed. Left-aligned navy text block inside safe area:
- `Ahmed Khan` — 11 pt bold
- `Master Tailor` — 8 pt
- `+92 321 7654321` / `hello@stitchline.com` / `Shop 4, Main Bazaar, Lahore` — 8 pt
Small navy "S" mark top-right inside safe area.
4. **Align (5 min):** Object > Align and Distribute — center front elements,
left-align back text block.
5. **Self-check (6 min):** Backgrounds reach page edge? All text inside blue
safe rectangle? All fills CMYK (F11)? Smallest text ≥ 7 pt?
## Expected result
A two-page CorelDRAW file: navy front with centered identity, white back with
clean navy contact block, correct bleed/safe zones, all CMYK.
**Stretch goal:** Add a thin silver border 6 mm inside the trim on the front
(inside the safe area) for a premium framed look.
