# Day-21 — Learning Objectives: Business Cards

**Module:** M07 — Print Design | **Duration:** 180 minutes | **Level:** Intermediate

After this lesson you can:

1. Set up a print-correct business card document in CorelDRAW at 3.5 × 2 in
   (89 × 51 mm) with 3 mm bleed on all sides (95 × 57 mm working area).
2. Explain the difference between bleed, trim edge, and safe area, and place
backgrounds and text correctly in each zone.
3. Build colors using CMYK values (not RGB) and choose correct black (rich
black vs. plain K:100) for card backgrounds and small text.
4. Design a two-sided card with clear front/back hierarchy — identity on the
front, readable contact information on the back.
5. Apply print typography rules: minimum text sizes, alignment, contrast, and
5 mm safe margins on all important elements.
6. Export a print-ready PDF (PDF/X preset with bleed) that a print shop can
   use without corrections.
