## 1. INTRO (2 min)
[ON SCREEN: handoff folder with organized files]
"Welcome to Day 13 — the last day of Module 4, CorelDRAW Mastery. You can
draw, style, align, and typeset. Today you learn to DELIVER: bringing assets
in, sending finished files out, and packaging everything like a professional.
A beautiful design that never leaves CorelDRAW correctly is worth zero."
## 2. OBJECTIVES (1 min)
[ON SCREEN: goals list]
"Today: importing images and vectors. PowerTRACE — with an honest warning.
Exporting PNG, JPG, and PDF. Print-ready PDF presets. File naming, folder
organization, and the handoff package."
## 3. DEMO — IMPORT (5 min)
[ON SCREEN: Ctrl+I, placing a photo]
"Control I — Import. I pick a photo I own. Click once: original size.
Click-drag: my size. Remember: photos are bitmaps — scale them up too far
and they go blurry. Vectors — SVG, AI, PDF, EPS — scale forever, stay sharp.
And the golden rule: only import what you own or what's copyright-free.
Check which layer is active before placing — the Objects docker never lies."
## 4. DEMO — POWERTRACE, HONESTLY (5 min)
[ON SCREEN: Trace Bitmap dialog, before/after]
"Right-click the bitmap, Trace Bitmap, Logo. PowerTRACE converts pixels to
curves automatically. Now the honest truth: the result is only as good as
the source. A clean, high-contrast logo — decent trace. A photo — a blobby
mess of a thousand shapes. It's a starting point, never a finished vector.
And tracing someone else's artwork is still copying — the tool doesn't change
copyright. For logos, your Bezier hand from Day 10 beats PowerTRACE almost
every time."
## 5. DEMO — EXPORT (7 min)
[ON SCREEN: Export dialog, each format]
"Control E — Export. PNG for web and social — it keeps transparency, and I
set exactly 1080 by 1080 pixels. JPG for small photo files — no transparency.
PDF for print and universal sharing. And this checkbox — Selected only — I
select just the badge, export, and get the badge alone on transparency.
Perfect for reusing elements. Match the format to the destination: screen,
print, or client."
## 6. DEMO — PRINT PDF + FILE MANAGEMENT (6 min)
[ON SCREEN: Publish to PDF, then folder organization]
"File, Publish to PDF. For a print shop I choose the Prepress-style preset —
high quality, CMYK kept, fonts embedded or converted. Pro tip: ask the print
shop which preset they want. Every shop has a favorite.
Then organization. Files named like this: SunSip-Card-1080-v2.png. Project,
size, version — never 'final-final-2'. Folders: 01-Working for CDRs,
02-Assets for imports, 03-Exports for deliverables, 04-Backup for old
versions. Plus a README: what's inside, which fonts. And the final ritual:
open every export and look at it for five seconds before sending. That habit
will save your reputation one day."
## 7. MISTAKES (3 min)
[ON SCREEN: quick examples]
"Wrong export size — set exact pixels. RGB PDF to a print shop — use the
prepress preset. Missing fonts in the handoff — embed or convert with a
backup. Shipping a raw PowerTRACE of a photo — judge it honestly first.
And chaotic file names — name like a professional."
## 8. PRACTICE + RECAP / MODULE CLOSE (2 min)
[ON SCREEN: module recap slide — Days 8–13]
"Practice: run the full pipeline on your SunSip card — import, trace test,
PNG, JPG, selected-only mark, print PDF, organized handoff. Assignment:
deliver your best Days 8–12 piece as a complete client-ready handoff
package. That is your Module 4 capstone.
And with that — Module M04, CorelDRAW Mastery, is complete. Six days: the
interface, shapes, Bezier curves, fills and layers, text, and delivery. Next
module, M05: Logo and Vector Design — where all of this becomes real
client-style projects. Well done. See you there."
