## 1. INTRO (2 min)

[ON SCREEN: finished Harvest-style poster]

"Welcome to Day 12. Text is half of graphic design — and today it gets the
full lesson. By the end, you will build a complete typographic poster:
headline, sub-headline, body copy, and a circular badge — all inside
CorelDRAW."

## 2. OBJECTIVES (1 min)

[ON SCREEN: goals list]

"Today: Artistic Text versus Paragraph Text. Formatting on the property bar.
Text on a path. And Convert to Curves — powerful, but with real risks you
must respect."

## 3. DEMO — TWO TEXT TYPES (8 min)

[ON SCREEN: typing both types]

"I press F8, the Text Tool. I CLICK once and type SALE — that's Artistic
Text, for headlines. Watch the property bar: font, size, bold, alignment.
Now I click-DRAG a box and type two sentences — that's Paragraph Text. I
narrow the box — the text reflows. I scale the Artistic Text — the letters
grow. Different tools for different jobs: short and big, artistic; long and
wrapping, paragraph."

## 4. DEMO — TEXT ON A PATH (7 min)

[ON SCREEN: circle, attaching text]

"I draw a circle. Text Tool — I hover on its edge until the cursor changes,
click, and type. The words ride the circle. I adjust the offset on the
property bar until it sits perfectly on top. Or the menu way: select text
plus a wavy curve, Text, Fit Text to Path. Circular badges, arched
headlines — this is how the pros do them. Break Text Apart separates them
again."

## 5. DEMO — CONVERT TO CURVES, SAFELY (8 min)

[ON SCREEN: backup layer, Ctrl+Q, Shape Tool on letters]

"Now the dangerous one. I duplicate my headline onto a new layer called
Text-Backup — hidden, locked. THEN I select the visible headline and press
Control Q. It looks the same — but try the Text Tool: no cursor. It's shapes
now. Shape Tool: I grab a letter's node and bend it. Print shops love this —
no missing fonts. But the rule is iron: backup first, spell-check first,
convert last, when the wording is final. A typo after converting is a
disaster you rebuild by hand."

## 6. EXAMPLE — MINI POSTER (4 min)

[ON SCREEN: assembling the poster]

"Background locked. Headline artistic, 150 point, bold. Sub-headline italic
beneath it. Paragraph box at the bottom, justified, generous spacing.
Circular badge in the corner. Align docker — everything centered. Two fonts
maximum. That's a poster."

## 7. MISTAKES (3 min)

[ON SCREEN: quick examples]

"Paragraph text for a logo — wrong tool. Converting with no backup —
unforgivable. Five fonts on one poster — pick two. Tiny body text on a
phone-sized post — 26 points minimum. And skipping spell check — one typo
kills the whole design's credibility."

## 8. PRACTICE + RECAP / HOMEWORK (2 min)

[ON SCREEN: homework slide]

"Practice: the Golden Crust Bakery badge — circular text, center icon,
converted headline with a backup layer. Assignment: the Harvest Food
Festival poster — headline, sub-headline, paragraph body, circular badge,
two fonts max, spell-checked, headline converted safely. Tomorrow, Day 13:
the final module skill — importing, exporting, PDF presets, and file
management. You learn to deliver work like a professional."
