# Day-20 — Video Script: Ad Creatives, CTAs & Platform Export Specs

**Runtime target:** ~25 minutes | **Format:** screen recording + narration

---

**[0:00 — INTRO]**
NARRATION: "Welcome to Day 20 — the final day of the Social Media Design
module, and the money lesson. Organic posts build brands; ad creatives
sell offers to strangers in under two seconds. Today: offer hierarchy,
CTA buttons that get tapped, and exact export specs for feed, story, and
landscape — so your work uploads perfectly everywhere."

**[1:00 — SCREEN: organic post vs ad creative side by side]**
NARRATION: "Spot the difference. Left: our organic Cuppa Joy post — warm,
brand-led. Right: the ad creative — louder, offer-first. On an ad, nobody
knows your brand yet, so the logo goes small in the corner and the OFFER
becomes the headline. That's rule one of ad hierarchy: offer, benefit,
detail, CTA — in that order, always."
SCREEN CUE: Show both designs; annotate the hierarchy.

**[3:30 — SCREEN: building the feed ad]**
NARRATION: "New document: 1080 by 1080, RGB. Deep orange full-bleed —
ads are allowed to shout. Headline: 'BUY 1 GET 1 FREE' — white,
extra-bold, enormous. Middle: the steaming cup plus 'All teas, all
weekend.' Small detail line: 'Sat–Sun, Main Street.' Three-second test:
the offer is unmistakable."
SCREEN CUE: Build the feed creative live.

**[8:00 — SCREEN: CTA button construction]**
NARRATION: "Now the money element: the CTA button. White rounded
rectangle — opposite of the background for maximum contrast. Bold orange
text: 'ORDER NOW' — an action verb, not 'Click Here'. Generous padding, a
soft drop shadow so it looks tappable. Center the text with the Align
docker. One CTA per creative — two buttons means zero clicks."
SCREEN CUE: Build the button step by step.

**[11:30 — SCREEN: text-area check]**
NARRATION: "Quick discipline check: ad platforms penalize text-heavy
images. Keep text under about twenty percent of the canvas. Our visual
dominates; the words are minimal. Details live in the ad caption, not on
the creative."
SCREEN CUE: Show the layout; estimate text coverage.

**[13:00 — SCREEN: new 1080×1920 page]**
NARRATION: "Placement two: the story. New page: 1080 by 1920. First, mark
the danger zones — guidelines 250 pixels from the top and bottom, where
the app's interface lives. Now — and this is critical — I do NOT stretch
the square design. I rebuild vertically: offer top-center, big visual
middle, benefit, CTA bottom-center above the safe zone. Bigger type than
feed — stories are full-screen."
SCREEN CUE: Build the story layout natively.

**[18:00 — SCREEN: export + naming]**
NARRATION: "Export presets: PNG, RGB, exact pixel sizes — never larger
'just in case', because ad platforms recompress anyway. Name files by
platform and offer: Brand-Ad-Offer-Feed, Brand-Ad-Offer-Story. Save the
CDR with pages named Feed-1080 and Story-1920. Future you — and your
client — will thank you."
SCREEN CUE: Export both; show the delivery checklist.

**[21:00 — WRAP-UP + MODULE CLOSE]**
NARRATION: "Recap: ads lead with the offer — offer, benefit, detail, CTA.
Buttons need contrast, action verbs, and one-per-creative discipline. Feed:
1080 square. Story: 1080 by 1920 with safe zones. Text under twenty
percent. Exact exports, smart file names. And with that, you close Module
6 — Social Media Design: posts, carousels, thumbnails, banners, and ad
creatives. Next module: Print Design — where pixels become paper. Your
assignment: the full three-placement Chai Club campaign set plus a spec
sheet. See you in Module 7."
SCREEN CUE: Title card with assignment summary.
