## 1. INTRO (2 min)

[ON SCREEN: before/after — flat shapes vs finished badge row]

"Welcome to Day 11. Look at this: same three circles on both sides. Left:
flat, unaligned, messy. Right: gradient fills, matching outlines, perfectly
spaced, organized on layers. The difference is today's lesson — the finish
that makes work look professional."

## 2. OBJECTIVES (1 min)

[ON SCREEN: goals list]

"Today: Uniform and Fountain fills — plus an honest word on pattern and
texture fills. The Outline Pen — width, color, corners, caps. The Eyedropper.
The Align and Distribute docker. Grouping — deeper. And layers in the Object
Manager."

## 3. DEMO — FILLS (8 min)

[ON SCREEN: circles being filled]

"I select a circle, Shift F11 — Uniform Fill, solid blue. Simple, clean,
professional. Now F11 — Fountain Fill. Linear: dark blue melting into light
blue. I change the angle — see it rotate? Radial: the blend bursts from the
center. One honest note: use gradients sparingly — one or two per design.
Pattern fills — repeating tiles like dots — and texture fills — generated
effects like stone or clouds — exist, but they can look cheap fast. When in
doubt: uniform or fountain."

## 4. DEMO — OUTLINE PEN + EYEDROPPER (7 min)

[ON SCREEN: F12 dialog, then Eyedropper]

"F12 — the Outline Pen. Width: 2 points. Color: dark navy. Corners: round.
Caps: round. Now every outline in my icon set gets exactly this — same width,
same caps — and suddenly three random circles look like a family. The
Eyedropper: I click it, click a color on one object, click another object —
exact same color, zero guessing. Consistency without effort."

## 5. DEMO — ALIGN & DISTRIBUTE (6 min)

[ON SCREEN: messy row becoming neat]

"Window, Dockers, Align and Distribute. I select my three badges. Center —
they line up. Distribute Horizontally — the gaps become exactly equal. No
eyeballing. Then Align to Edge of page, Center both ways — the whole row
sits dead-center on the page. This docker is the difference between 'close
enough' and professional."

## 6. DEMO — GROUPS + LAYERS (6 min)

[ON SCREEN: Objects docker]

"Control G groups; Control U ungroups; Control Shift U breaks nested groups
completely. Double-click a group to edit one object inside it.

Now layers — in the Objects docker. New Layer, rename: Background, Artwork,
Text. Background gets the backdrop rectangle — and I lock it, so I never
grab it by accident. Artwork holds the badges. Text will hold tomorrow's
headlines. The highlighted layer is where new objects land — always check
it before drawing. Background bottom, artwork middle, text top. That's the
professional stack."

## 7. MISTAKES (3 min)

[ON SCREEN: quick examples]

"Gradients on everything — pick one. Mixed outline widths — pick one width.
Eyeballing alignment — use the docker. Everything on one layer — name your
layers. And drawing on the wrong active layer — check the highlight first."

## 8. PRACTICE + RECAP / HOMEWORK (2 min)

[ON SCREEN: homework slide]

"Practice: the three-badge promo row from your exercise file. Assignment:
the SunSip promo card — 1080 by 1080, layered, grouped, aligned, with your
orange slice mark refined in a radial fountain fill. Export a PNG preview.
Tomorrow, Day 12: text in CorelDRAW — artistic versus paragraph text, text
on a path, and converting text to curves."
