## 1. INTRO (2 min)

[ON SCREEN: leaf logo mark being drawn]

"Welcome to Day 10 — the most important drawing lesson in this course. Basic
shapes are like building blocks. But this — [draws a curve] — the Bezier
curve, is the pencil of a professional designer. Logos, icons, illustrations:
all Bezier curves. It feels strange for one hour, then natural forever."

## 2. OBJECTIVES (1 min)

[ON SCREEN: goals list]

"Today: the Bezier Tool — clicks and drags. Node types — cusp, smooth,
symmetrical. The Pen tool with live preview, Freehand and B-Spline. Converting
lines to curves. And tracing a simple object by hand."

## 3. DEMO — BEZIER BASICS (10 min)

[ON SCREEN: blank page, Bezier Tool active]

"I select the Bezier Tool. Watch my mouse: click, move, click — straight
lines. Now click and DRAG — see the handles come out? That's a curve.
Double-click to finish. Rule number one: fewer points, smoother curves.
Beginners click fifty times; professionals click five times.

Now the Shape Tool, F10. I click a node — see the handles? I drag one and
the curve bends. On the property bar I have three node types: Cusp — the
handles move independently, sharp corners. Smooth — handles stay in line,
flowing curves. Symmetrical — perfect even arcs. I choose deliberately."

## 4. DEMO — LEAF LOGO MARK (8 min)

[ON SCREEN: drawing the leaf step by step]

"Let's draw a leaf. Click at the base. Move up — click-DRAG for the right
edge curving out. Click at the tip — that's a corner. Click-drag back down
the left side. Click the first point to close — now it fills. Shape Tool:
I delete extra nodes, set the sides to Smooth. Six nodes, one clean leaf.
That's a logo mark, drawn from nothing."

## 5. EXAMPLE — PEN, FREEHAND, B-SPLINE (5 min)

[ON SCREEN: quick demo of each]

"The Pen tool is Bezier with a preview — you see the curve before you click.
Good while learning. Freehand is a pencil — fast sketching, but it makes
many nodes, so clean up after. B-Spline: click a few control points and get
an ultra-smooth flowing line. Different tools, same curves underneath."

## 6. DEMO — CONVERT + TRACE (5 min)

[ON SCREEN: converting a line, then tracing a silhouette]

"I draw a straight line, select its nodes, click Convert to Curve on the
property bar — handles appear, and I bend it. That's how you fix drawings.

Tracing: File, Import — I place a simple apple silhouette I drew myself.
Right-click, Lock — so it can't move. Now I trace over it with the Bezier
tool: click on corners, click-drag on curves. Delete the image — my clean
vector stays. Always trace your own or copyright-free images."

## 7. MISTAKES (3 min)

[ON SCREEN: bad vs good curves]

"Too many nodes — wobbly lines. Forgetting to close the path — no fill.
Leaving every node as cusp — jagged curves. And tracing a detailed photo on
day one — start with simple silhouettes."

## 8. PRACTICE + RECAP / HOMEWORK (2 min)

[ON SCREEN: homework slide]

"Practice: trace an apple, a heart, and a star — under 8 nodes each. Then
draw one original mark from scratch, like a water drop. Assignment: the
'SunSip' juice logo — a hand-drawn orange slice, max 25 nodes, all Bezier.
Tomorrow, Day 11: color, outlines, alignment, grouping, and layers — your
drawings get their professional finish."
