# Final Project Rubric — Project 6: Final Portfolio

**Course:** Graphic Designing Mastery — ARTTECHES Nexus | **Instructor:** Ali Akbar Shah

Project 6 is the student's final portfolio: a complete, professional presentation of their best work from the course. It is graded out of **100 points**, which counts toward the 25% "Final portfolio" grade weight (see Certificate-Requirements.md).

## Grading Criteria

| # | Criterion | Points | What earns full marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Completeness | 15 | Portfolio contains 6–8 finished pieces covering the required range (logo, social media, flyer, business card, brand identity work). No missing or unfinished pieces. |
| 2 | Design quality across pieces | 20 | Consistent professional quality: clean layouts, correct alignment, good color use, strong typography in every piece. |
| 3 | Case studies / project documentation | 15 | At least 3 pieces include a short case study (problem → process → result). Writing is clear and honest. |
| 4 | Technical skill demonstrated | 15 | Evidence of real CorelDRAW skill: clean vector paths and nodes, proper use of shape/Bezier tools, correct fills and outlines, print pieces in CMYK with bleed, correct export formats (PDF, PNG, JPG). |
| 5 | Originality and creativity | 10 | Original concepts; no copied or traced-from-stock designs presented as original. Concept work labeled honestly. |
| 6 | Presentation and professionalism | 10 | Consistent project covers, high-resolution images, designs shown in context (mockups), no spelling mistakes. |
| 7 | Brand consistency of the portfolio itself | 10 | The portfolio presentation has a consistent visual identity (covers, layout, style) that looks like one designer's professional body of work. |
| 8 | Meeting the brief | 5 | Portfolio follows the Project 6 brief: correct number of pieces, required formats, submitted on time in the required location. |
| | **TOTAL** | **100** | |

## Score Bands

- **90–100:** Excellent — portfolio is client-ready and could be used to win work immediately.
- **75–89:** Good — strong work with minor polish issues.
- **60–74:** Pass — meets requirements; some pieces need improvement.
- **Below 60:** Fail — portfolio is incomplete or quality is below professional standard; revise and resubmit.

## Academic Honesty

Any plagiarized piece scores **zero** for criteria 2, 4, and 5, and the student is disqualified from certification for this attempt (see Certificate-Requirements.md).
